South America Chancellor Trip 2023
On invitation of the Chancellor’s Office, our CEO Dr. Micha Zauner traveled to South America as part of the business delegation around Chancellor Olaf Scholz. Besides Argentina, the most important partner country for DEM on this trip, Chile and Brazil were also on the agenda. For DEM as a young and small company – next to giants like VW and Bayer – this was a great opportunity!
In Argentina, the main topics of discussion were cooperation on energy and climate change. The members of the travel group met the president and additionally held talks with stakeholders from politics and business. The central theme of the talks for Dr. Zauner was, on the one hand, to raise awareness of the necessity and importance of raw material supply for Europe’s further economic development and, on the other hand, to be able to communicate directly with decision-makers on site and exchange views on issues relating to raw material extraction.
Valuable personal contacts were made which will support us in the further development of DEM.
